Yesterday, at the production workshop of Zhejiang Chuangfeng Sealing Technology Co., Ltd., batches of new products rolled off the assembly line through the efficient collaboration of precision robotic arms and intelligent processing equipment. Lin Xiaowei, the company’s chairman, explained that in the first half of this year, six new products independently developed by the company—including the 2070 floating oil seal—were launched, contributing to a new product output value rate of 30%. With the gradual release of additional production capacity, this figure is expected to surge to 70% in the second half of the year.

Chuangfeng is a leading enterprise in the niche field of engineering machinery floating oil seals. In terms of R&D and innovation, the company proposes a new project almost every month, covering improvements and innovations in material formulations, production processes, and more. On the production front, the company has undergone comprehensive upgrades and transformations. Its intelligent technological renovation project—an annual output of 30 million high-end oil seal rings—was successfully selected as a 2025 Zhejiang Provincial Demonstration Project for Manufacturing Transformation (Equipment Updating in the Industrial Sector).

It is understood that industrial new products in Zhejiang refer to innovative, advanced, and applicable industrial products developed and manufactured by enterprises within the province. This year, as policy dividends continue to be released and innovation entities grow rapidly, a high-quality development path—where technological breakthroughs drive industrial upgrading and high-quality supply spurs momentum transformation—has become increasingly clear. New product development has emerged as one of the key drivers for strengthening and complementing Longquan’s industrial chains. From January to June, Longquan’s new product output value rate reached 37.8%, a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percentage points.

Similarly, Zhejiang Dongkang Industry & Trade Co., Ltd. achieved a breakthrough in product technology with its “cooling tube assembly”, earning recognition as a Zhejiang Provincial Industrial New Product. “This tri-in-one tube assembly excels in upsetting, bending, welding, and appearance—ranking among the best in the industry,” said Jin Haijun, the company’s production manager. Currently, this product series has already generated tens of millions in revenue.

The company serves as a Tier 2 supplier for automakers such as Seres, Geely, Changan, BYD, and GAC, with its main product being the “cooling tube assembly”. As a critical component of thermal management systems, it connects core automotive parts such as air conditioning units, batteries, and motors, forming a precise full-cycle cooling system. The product boasts advantages like high integration, short development cycles, flexible adaptability, and strong durability. In recent years, Dongkang has focused on the R&D and mass production of this product, achieving a threefold increase in output value.

A representative from the Longquan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Commerce stated that the next step will focus on high-potential SMEs in niche sectors, intensifying efforts in the development and application of first-of-its-kind and first-batch innovative products. The goal is to add over 12 national high-tech enterprises, more than 55 provincial sci-tech SMEs, and at least five newly certified provincial-level R&D platforms.
